As a new Charity we will aim to primarily spend our income on achieving our objectives (our charitable purpose) – helping children with cancer and their families through direct assistance.
Our charity is local and run by volunteers. By adopting this approach, we have simple processes – there are few costs associated with the organisation itself allowing more of the money raised to be used in the most effective way to help families. With this approach we aim to be transparent so our supporters can see exactly where the money raised has gone.
Being a relatively new charity, we do need to reinvest a proportion of the money we receive on running the organisation and on marketing and promoting the charity, primarily through the organising of fundraising events.
"
On average, of every £1 generated by a UK charity, 80p is spent directly on achieving the objectives of the charity, and 20p is spent on operating and administration costs (and on future fundraising activity)".

We recognise that it is unrealistic to expect a growing charity to be well managed without having to pay open market rates for bought-in goods and services. However, where we can, we aim to attract the provision of these services through partnership arrangements with our community partners. |
