Personal Statement by Catherine
"I can only imagine the devastation that comes with finding out your child is seriously ill, as a mother myself it is something I can not even bear to contemplate. But as we all know terrible things do happen and can happen at any time.
When I was asked to be a patron of The Joe Glover Trust I felt both honoured and humbled, honoured to support a charity that will do such tremendous work in Joe's name and humbled by the selflessness of the founders who having themselves experienced the darkest of times look only to helping others during theirs.
I met Joe when he came to Cardiff to visit the set of Dr Who in July 2006, he was such a fan of the show that his enthusiasm and excitement shone through despite his obvious weakness and being very poorly. It was a very touching and memorable day for me made even more so by the fact that he passed away shortly afterwards.
It is my privilege to help put the Joe Glover Trust on the map and my hope to serve Joe's memory well."
