What we do

As a children's cancer charity, the Joe Glover Trust (tJGT) is dedicated to helping children with cancer and their families in the UK.

We offer something different - real help for the real heroes. We provide efficient and effective help for those that need the help at a time when they need it - direct support to children and their families being treated for cancer.

We do not sponsor research, we do not provide money to subsidise the NHS, we do not provide money for restpite or holidays or grant wishes. We provide direct financial help to families where it is needed most. See NEXT for more detailed information on the grants we provide.

We are a parent led charity and we aim to improve the quality of life of children with cancer and their families by providing real help through financial and other support, including information and working to gain recognition of their needs and ensuring adequate resources are available to help.

  Doctor and Child with cancer

We offer financial and other support to families, at their time of need, when dealing with the life changing situation of having a child with cancer.

That support may be putting them in contact with other families who have lived through the trauma. It may be helping to look after their other children so that the parents can stay with the child in hospital It can be providing them with help for the additional daily costs of having a child on long-term treatment and in hospital such as transport and travel assistance, telephone calls and food etc., or through other practical help just to make the day easier.
